WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION SEMINAR
This
seminar is an excellent way to train a back-up or
primary Warranty Administrator/Service Advisor. The
seminar is structured to teach the student the overall
picture of policy right through to the smallest detail
of administration. The student will gain a broad
knowledge of Warranty Coverage’s, Policy & Procedures,
Claims Preparation and on Direct Warranty Entry. This
will entail how to prepare and submit all warranty
claims, either by overnight (batch) or on-line
submission with actual on-line training. Indicated
below is a breakdown of what the seminar will consist
of:
DAY
ONE AND TWO
The
first two days will be focused on new vehicle warranty
coverages and Ford’s requirements pertaining to warranty
policies and procedures. Several types of manuals
will be reviewed in detail and include Ford
Warranty & Policy, ESP Operations, CCP and Parts
Coverage directory. Also special programs will be
discussed such as TAP (Transportation Assistance
Program), Recall/ONP, Preferred Care, and After Warranty
Assistance. Understanding the concepts and guidelines of
these materials is critical on how claims are processed
for payment and how to prevent the dealership from
entering into the Warranty Counseling Process. Summers
Dealer Service will provide an excellent referencing
handout to each student that is a beneficial resource
for any dealership.
DAY
THREE
The
last day will include the basic ingredients required to
get a claim paid by the ACESII payment system. The Ford
Labor Time Standards Manual will be reviewed to ensure
that the student understands the structure of the
manual. Basic and Advanced claimspreparation procedures
will be discussed and actual claims will be prepared in
the class.
Paint,
Carrier, and Fleet claims will be discussed and examples
will be completed in class. All students are encouraged
to bring their own claims to prepare at the workshop.
Lastly, On-line functions will be reviewed and each
student will be given the opportunity to use the On-line
system. During the on-line training your dealerships
applicable computer system and overnight registers
will be discussed.
DAY
FOUR (OPTIONAL)
An
optional day can be arranged for additional training on
claims preparation. This is an excellent why to get
specific hands on training to get even the hardest
claims paid.
This
hands on training will include coverage verifications,
claims write-up and detailed use of the Ford
Service Labor times standards manual. We strongly
suggest that each student bring their own
warranty repair claims for proper labor flagging and
inputting into the AcesII computer system.
CLOSING
The
student will come out of this seminar with a solid
knowledge and the confidence to get right to work. You
will have the opportunity to call Summers Dealer
Services, Inc. at any time to have your questions
answered. Brad Summers, the instructor, has a great
deal of experience in Ford training. For years Mr.
Summers has traveled the country putting on classes for

currently supervises 6,000 warranty claims a month at
his office. By processing warranty claims for a living,
